The 2007 SAIL (SUMMER ADVENTURES IN LEARNING) Program is up and running through August 16th. SAIL features classes designed to enable students with learning issues ages 6 - 14, to succeed and maintain their skills during the summer months. The classes are offered in a small and relaxed environment, and taught by teachers trained in learning disabilities. Emphasis is on self-advocacy and individual learning styles.
Classes included Reading, Math, Study Skills & Writing Strategies, Social Awareness, Art, Music and Computers. The goal of the SAIL program is to take students with learning issues and set them up to succeed so that they can begin the school year feeling like more confident learners.
The SAIL Program is sponsored by the Learning Disabilities Association of CNY.
