Syracuse City School District Early Childhood Program
Syracuse City School District Prekindergarten Program

The Syracuse City School District offers comprehensive educational preschool services to Syracuse residents through NYS Targeted Prekindergarten (eligible three and four year olds) and Universal Prekindergarten (four year olds on or before December 1st). NYS certified teachers and teaching assistants implement the Syracuse City School District’s Curricula. The program also provides inclusive education and services for children with disabilities by a special education teacher, speech / language pathologist, occupational therapist and physical therapist. Families are offered social services and health services, as needed, through the support of social workers and school nurses. Pre-k is family focused and supports parents in their child’s education through many parent involvement opportunities. Programs are located in District elementary schools and other community based sites and organizations within the City of Syracuse. There are half day and full day program sessions where a free snack, breakfast and/or lunch are provided. The Syracuse Pre-k Program follows the school calendar. For additional information regarding a specific program and center locations, please call the main office number listed above.
